Debris packed into a deck gap
Looks clean. Isn't.

There's a silent killer between your boards

Sweeping and leaf-blowing clear the surface, but the moss, leaves, and pine needles wedge down into the gaps and stay there. That trapped debris holds moisture against the wood — and moisture is the number-one cause of premature deck rot.

By the time you see the damage, you're replacing boards. Walter knows — he replaced plenty before he built the fix.

Clean the surface and you've done half the job. Clean the gaps and you've saved the deck.

One-step deck cleaning

Three moves and you're done

Attach1

Attach

Snap the DEC VAC onto the wand attachment included with most shop vacuums. No adapters, no fuss.

Push2

Push

Glide it along the deck gap. The blade breaks up packed debris and scoops it straight into the suction zone.

Empty3

Empty

Dump the canister into your compost or yard-debris bin. One clean pass, start to finish.

Why you need one

A no-brainer for anyone with a deck

If you want your deck to look amazing and last as long as possible, the DEC VAC is the most effective tool for the job — and it works with gear that's probably already in your garage.

One step, not three

No sweeping, then scraping, then blowing. Clean the surface and the gaps in a single motion.

50% faster

Cut your deck-cleaning time in half compared to traditional putty-knife-and-broom methods.

Stops rot early

Pull out the moisture-trapping debris before it can rot your boards from the inside out.

Gear you own

Works with your existing shop vac on both wood and composite decks. No chemicals required.

The patented blade

The blade does the hard part

A precision blade rides down into the gap and breaks up the packed-in debris, while the angled scoop funnels it straight into the suction zone. What used to take a putty knife and a sore back now happens as fast as you can walk the board.

Built and tested in the Pacific Northwest — where if it can survive our moss, it can survive anything.

How DEC VAC came to be

Built in a workshop, born of frustration

Years ago, my grandfather Walter was fighting the same battle every Pacific Northwest homeowner knows — endless moss, leaves, and pine needles getting into everything. The worst of it packed down between his deck boards, holding moisture against the wood and rotting them out early.

After replacing rotten boards and slogging through every tedious maintenance product on the market, he'd had enough. So he went to the workshop and built his own tool — the DEC VAC.

It's still the simplest, fastest way we've found to keep a deck clean down in the gaps where it actually matters.
